Gulet Ariva III On Blue Cruise In Turkey And Greece
A schooner in mast placement, Ariva III
carries a headsail behind the foremast as well as two at the bow. This is a relatively
unusual arrangement intended to improve sailing performance on the wind, an advantage when
engaged in coastal sailing where wind tends to parallel the shore. Seventy-five feet in
length, this owner-operated yacht has ample interior space for five cabins each accommodating
two guests each cabin with its own water closet and shower. Crew quarters are separate.
There is in addition a salon adjoining an outdoor dining and lounging area shaded by awning.
Ariva III is air-conditioned throughout and all interior spaces are isolated within bulkheads
of solid mahogany.
Accommodations:
Accommodations for guests consist of five comfortable double cabins with dressing
table and en-suite bathroom facilities. Individual air-conditioning units are fitted in
each of the cabins and all cabins are sound-proofed inside thick mahogany walls.
Salon:
A wheelhouse salon with comfortable settees offers panoramic views
and an alternative dining venue.
On Deck:
Uncluttered teak decks feature a shaded dining and lounging area aft of the wheelhouse
as well as an area forward of the wheelhouse accommodating up to twelve sun mattresses, the
two areas inviting hours of quiet relaxation.

beaches? Are you into archaeology and history? Could some of you be dreaming of a crewed motor
sailing gulet on which to cruise ancient Lycia? As did Lycia's own Payava? The fourth century BC
warrior-aristocrat whose tomb is in the British Museum? Or could your dream be to sail Francis
Beaufort's 1810-12 track along both the Lycian and neighboring Carian coasts? The Beaufort of wind
and sea-scale fame who plumbed the depths of Marmaris Bay ("Mermerycheh Bay")? Whose
reports to the British Admiralty about Marmaris are frequently ascribed to Horatio Nelson? Would
you like to do this while on holiday? Would you like to have a family-and-friends holiday aboard a
crewed motor sailing gulet cruising the shores of Turkey as did Payava and Beaufort? Shores

really thinking of Greece? Of a blue cruise along azure sea lanes between pastel-hued Dodecanese
Islands and blinding-white Cyclades Islands? Or both? Have you decided you wish to Blue Cruise in
both Turkey and Greece? Because you've read about such cruises in the New York Times. Or would you
prefer to charter a sailing gulet to cruise Greece alone? The Cyclades in Greece? Mykonos? Paros?
Santorini? Or might you alternatively prefer to charter a motor sailing gulet to cruise further
along the Mediterranean coast of Turkey? Beyond Lycia? Starting in Gocek? Are you searching for
Gocek in Turkey? For Fethiye in Turkey? Well, look about forty-two miles ENE of Rhodes Town. Up
that coastal indentation. There or elsewhere we can put you aboard a motor sailing gulet for a
