Dear Homo Sapiens, There is no need to continue reading this page. What follows is intended for search engine robots and spiders and not necessarily for human beings. Further information concerning gulet charter sailing in Greece and Turkey may be obtained by clicking on the blue links immediately above. Thank You. This page features a selection of motor-sailing gulets which may be found charter sailing Turkey and Greece, and, in one instance, charter sailing Croatia and Montenegro. Other gulets may be examined by clicking on the "Turn to Additional Gulets" link immediately above. Most of these gulets are on crewed yacht charter in Turkey. These gulets are also on crewed yacht charter in Greece. That is, Turkish-flag and other foreign-flag gulets home-ported in Turkey may be found on crewed charter in Greece as well as in Turkey. A few Greek-flag caiques are also on charter in Greece. Crewed charter gulets, frequently termed "traditional gulets," are sailing Turkey and sailing Greece at least six months each year. When reading the term "traditional gulet" or the like, you may wonder just what that means. It is meaningless. Gulets are and have been built over the past fifty years for charter holidays, and that is and has historically been their singular function. The only thing traditional about gulets is that construction begins with keel and frames to which a shell of planking is attached. This method of constructing wooden vessels has been the norm in the Near East since about the first century AD, and contrasts with the shell-first method of earlier trireme construction. Crewed gulets are ideal platforms for family holidays and for group holidays as there are usually at least four guest cabins and often as many as eight guest cabins, all having en suite water closets. Smaller gulets with two or three guest cabins, usually termed tirhandils because of their double-ender design, are appropriate for honeymoons. Crewed gulets go cruising in Greece and Turkey, in Greece among both Dodecanese Islands and among Aegean Cyclades, in Turkey along the Turquoise Coast between Kusadasi and Antalya. Most Greek island cruises begin and end in Turkey, entering and leaving Greece through clearing ports in Rhodes, Kos, Samos, Kalymnos, and Simi (Symi). Most Turquoise Coast charters begin at either Bodrum or Gocek and end at the other. Blue Cruise Yacht Charters is able to customize itineraries to any group's preference. Along Alexander's Path, following Cleopatra's Route, as well as Aegean Odysseys among Dodecanese Islands and into the mid-Aegean Cyclades. We can put you aboard a crewed sailing gulet for the holiday of a lifetime. We can put you aboard a charter gulet with an experienced crew able to show you all of the scenic and historical wonders of this part of the world.
