Cruising Greece's Forgotten Islands In Saint
Paul's Wake.I totally enjoyed our quiet cruising days
and the out-of-the-way spots
chosen for us by Gordon. Beautiful blue waters, crystal cold swims, crusader castles - and a
pleasant crew! I'm also glad Gordon is such a good sailor in near-gales!

Cruising Greece's Forgotten Islands In Saint Paul's Wake.I had an excellent time this week. Definitely a highlight of my
whole trip (around the world) - swimming was
great (very cold), laying out in the sun at the front of the boat was fabulous, and I'll never
forget the places we stopped. I hope to come back soon.... VERY soon!
Jill Clairo, Calgary, Alberta, May 2003
Cruising Greece's Forgotten Islands In Saint Paul's Wake. The fresh air, sunshine, gentle sea breezes and slight swaying of
the boat have all combined to
give me the most delightful naps of my life! This trip has been wonderful, sailing is exhilarating,
all the stops were unique and even the rough bit of weather we braved added to this terrific memory
I'll keep for a long time. (Happy Face) Amandine Clairo, Calgary, Alberta,

Cruising Greece's Forgotten Islands In Saint Paul's Wake.First a list of complaints: the skipper's French is atrocious! I
suspect this is because French is
an "old Europe" language the mastery of which is pointless. And then there are his Republican views. Imperial. (Editor's
note: the skipper is not a Republican. Neither is he an imperialist.) Besides these minor
irritations (that could be quickly rectified by sending Gordon to Alliance Francaise), all was
Bristol. We saw a bit of the real world, with real people and wonderful rich historical sites.
It takes someone with insight and wisdom to guide his or her charges to these little morsels of
patrimonial (French word!) heritage. Gordon and Beverley were generous hosts and we are indebted
to their benevolence and great seamanship. Merci beaucoup!!!

Greece And Turkey At Once.Gordon and
Beverley. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime. The T.G. Ellyson is an elegant and extremely
comfortable, hospitable craft on which you made us feel completely at home for our honeymoon
week. Gordons sailing knowledge is amazing; we were in very capable hands, and he did a wonderful job involving us
in the workings of the boat. Beverley was an excellent cook and hostess. She always made sure we
were well fed, our glasses were full, and all of our onboard needs fulfilled.

Greece And Turkey At Once. Not knowing
Turkey at all, we are so happy to have had Gordon and Beverley as our tour guides, introducing
us to Turkish culture, language, friends, geography, and history. Each place we stopped was
beautiful and rich in history. We especially enjoyed the chance to hike each day to ancient sites
which most other tourists do not have the pleasure of visiting. Our favorite stops were Ekincik,
Selimiye, and Kumlu Buku. We are so sad to be saying goodbye and are already thinking about when
we can visit next and spend more time with Gordon and Beverley on the T.G. Ellyson. We hope to
stay in touch, trading visits, books, and more smiles together. Thank you so much! Much love,

Cruising Greece's Forgotten Islands In Saint Paul's Wake.Another wonderful holiday our second on the T.G. Ellyson. New
destinations and more exciting
sailing weather. Excellent choices by Gordon en route from Kos to Rhodes. Our favourites were Tilos,
Khalki, and Selimiye. Dont miss them! Our thanks to Beverley, too. P.S. Our last evening was
spent in Rhodes at the Ta Kioupia. Superb cuisine. Aisla and Michael Keyes,

Cruising Greece's Forgotten Islands In Saint Paul's Wake.My first sailing trip and I'm very happy that I chose the T.G. Ellyson
and her crew. We spent six
wonderful days sailing and relaxing. Our trip alternated between secluded, quiet, Turkish coves and more picturesque
Greek isles. A lovely combination of the best of both worlds. I haven't felt this relaxed,
refreshed, and re-charged in some time. Along the way good food and history were both on the menu,
and many thanks to Captain Gordon and Beverley for a wonderful adventure.

Cruising Greece's Forgotten Islands In Saint Paul's
Wake.Amazing! I had spent only
one day on a sailboat prior to this trip, and I have loved every minute of this week. Captain
Gordon's knowledge and even handling of the T.G. Ellyson made for smooth sailing no matter how
the wind blew. Any nervousness I had about being on the water was quickly replaced by wonder and
excitement. Captain Gordon has a wonderful knowledge of the history of the region that adds to the
days, while his relationships with restaurateurs adds to the evenings. But the week could not have
been complete without the culinary treasures and cheerful attitude brought to the dance by first
mate/crew/Girl Friday and head chef Beverley. It has been a delightful week full of relaxation,
magic, and adventure! Thank you Gordon and Beverley for making our delayed honeymoon worth waiting
for!! Monique Grant Studak, Houston, Texas, October 2003
Greece And Turkey At Once.Water, water,
everywhere, and quite a lot to drink. What an adventure for us honeymooners! Silvia's first
experience on a sailboat will be forever remembered. Thank you for showing us the ropes and
setting us off on our voyage through life together. We look forward to celebrating many
anniversaries in the Aegean and Dodecanese! Best wishes and warm regards, Bon Voyage,

and Turkey in antiquity, before those countries were known as Greece and Turkey, was Cimon
(Key-moan), born in about 510 BC the son of an Athenian notable. Handsome, charismatic, and
generous, Cimon came to prominence at the 480 BC Battle of Salamis where he distinguished
himself in galley combat against Xerxes' Persian fleet. During the years that followed he rose
through naval ranks to become the Athenian strategus commanding the Delian League. This latter
was an alliance of city states in the Aegean and along the coast of Asia Minor for defense
should Persia again threaten, but it soon became an instrument of Athenian empire. As NATO is
to the United States. As commander of the Delian League Cimon in 466 BC led a fleet of 200
allied war galleys along the coasts of Caria and Lycia to the river Euremydon leading to
Aspendos (near Antalya which did not then exist). There he met and defeated a much larger
Phoenician fleet in the employ of Persia. On the same day he landed a force of marines and
routed a Persian army. One day later he routed a relief force of 80 more Phoenician warships.
Five years later he was exiled by Athens for being too sympathetic to Sparta. Charter one of
